King West's go-to for specialty coffee with Colombian roots. The beans are sourced with care and the results are consistently impressive.

Such an amazing spot for coffee. To me this is a hidden spot and a hidden gem. Hidden spot as there’s not anything with a flashy sign and the name is on a small butterfly on the storefront. Hidden gem because the fresh baked goods and the coffee are superb. The coffee for my latte was a bright roast. So there is some citrusy note to it. Most likely from the seaberry which I gather is in their roasts since there is a sign by the register. Hidden gem as well because of service. Nice and friendly with every person I interacted with and they also offer breakfast with an oatmeal that was available which I didn’t get but saw and was tempted to get. Also like the fact that it opens early even on the weekends, so with a work conference I had at MTCC, it was nice to know I can grab a good cup of caffeine in the morning. Won’t talk too much about parking as it is in downtown Toronto but it’s about a few mins walk from Royal York hotel. Great job overall.

I visited El Pacho Coffee Roasters in Toronto on a Friday afternoon and had a genuinely pleasant experience. Although the café is relatively small inside, it’s well laid out with cozy seating and tables that make it easy to relax and enjoy your drink. One great bonus is the small outdoor terrace, which adds extra space and offers a nice spot to sit when the weather’s good, perfect for soaking up some sun with your coffee. We ordered two lattes, one hot and one iced, and a cheese croissant. Both lattes were smooth, well-balanced, and served at just the right temperature. The croissant was fresh, flaky, and had a rich cheesy flavour that paired beautifully with the coffee. It’s clear they care about quality ingredients and preparation. The service was efficient and straightforward. While the barista wasn’t overly chatty or expressive, she was polite and got everything right, which I appreciated. Sometimes direct service is exactly what you need when you're just looking to unwind. Overall, El Pacho is a great spot if you're looking for a quiet, cozy café with solid coffee and tasty pastries. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and want a break from the usual chains, this place has character.

This place is pure love. It has such a warm and cozy atmosphere that you want to come back again and again. Every visit feels like coming home — the baristas are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The coffee is always outstanding, rich and aromatic, and truly energizing. And the espresso is absolutely exceptional. A coffee shop that genuinely makes your day better.

I just checked online for a coffee recommendation on a rainy and gloomy thanks giving Sunday in Toronto and El Pacho popped up on the list. It was located a lovely 10 minute walk from where I was and easy to find. I am SO glad I tried this out. The space is small and cozy and if the weather is good there is a small space to sit outside too. Service was very friendly and very fast. The pistachio croissant was definitely the best I have had to date- generous amount of pistachio paste which was not overly sweet and also didn’t overwhelm the pastry. The pastry was huge, light and super flaky. It was just the perfect combination. Cappucino was strong on coffee flavour and just on point. Also for both items costing around 14 dollars overall I felt was an absolute steal given the current prices of items and quality in Toronto. I would highly recommend giving El Pacho a try. Great location close to Union Station as well.

Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I have visited countless cafés not only in Toronto, but also in New York and Tokyo, and I can confidently say that El Pacho is one of the best cafés in the world. My family visited this café countless times during our nearly 6-month stay in Toronto. We were constantly comforted by their exceptional coffee, pastries, and weekend-only banana pudding and granola, and we were always energized by the warm, lovable staff. Thank you so much for everything. Here are some of the many wonderful aspects of this café: First, there is a deep sense of care and pride in everything they serve. The quality is outstanding. Everything is prepared daily with time, effort, and genuine love for their customers. I am not a professional chef, so I can’t explain it technically, but when you compare their food with other cafés, the difference in ingredient quality is immediately obvious. Some first-time visitors might feel the prices are a bit high, but once you experience the quality, you understand that it is absolutely worth it. My top recommendation is the freshly baked croissant sandwich — it’s a must-try. Second, the attentiveness of the staff is truly remarkable. Even when they are busy, they make an effort to check in with each customer and see if anyone needs help. Their smiles are a true treasure of Toronto. This care extends beyond customer service to cleanliness as well. Whenever they have a moment, they are cleaning and maintaining the space, showing how much they value providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. Finally, the attention to interior design is exceptional. From seasonal decorations to stylish small details throughout the café, and even the orange-toned equipment, you can feel the owner’s and staff’s sense of style and dedication to keeping the space at its very best. Cafés that leave such a strong impression are rare and precious. I am deeply grateful that El Pacho chose to open in the wonderful city of Toronto, and I sincerely hope that one day they will open a location in my hometown, Tokyo. I will be looking forward to that day.
