A King West spot inspired by Japanese kissaten culture. Fungo is calm, considered, and serves some of the most interesting coffee on the strip.

I recently visited Fungo Cafe, a specialty coffee shop that serves organic coffee blended with premium mushroom powders, and had a great experience. The cafe has a relaxed, cozy atmosphere with lots of intimate seating, making it a comfortable spot to catch up with friends, get some work done, or simply unwind. It’s also dog-friendly, which adds to the welcoming vibe. We ordered a lavender London Fog and a turmeric chai latte. The turmeric chai was warm, comforting, and full of flavor, while the London Fog was smooth and well balanced with a subtle hint of vanilla. For food, we tried the chive cheddar scone, which had a nicely crumbly exterior and a soft interior, along with a classic chocolate croissant and a pistachio chocolate croissant. The pistachio croissant was the standout and is especially good when warmed up. Portion sizes were generous, and everything we tried felt high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, this is a great option if you’re looking for something a little different from your usual coffee stop. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Cozy and quiet coffee shop with a really nice design and comfortable seating. The croissant I had was very tasty. My cappuccino wasn’t quite to my taste (a bit on the bitter side with a slight aftertaste), but everything else about the place was great. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would be happy to come back and give it another try.
Lovely cozy cafe that serves a great Hot Chocolate! 👌Vegan Approved The lady at the counter was very courteous, helped me tweak my order based on my preferences. Their hot chocolate is really dark and yummy. The cafe has a nice cozy vibe with a lot of plants. They added a few plants as we were seated there. The music seemed a touch loud but nevertheless great place to work or just chill with a book.
We came in and were greeted with a very nice and cozy atmosphere, warm smiles and smell of fresh coffee, so from the start the expectations were set high and I’m happy they did not disappoint. We had a quick chat with the barista and she kindly explained what makes their special coffee different and I knew I had to try it, if you like pumpkin and feeling relaxed with subtle notes of mushroom that should be your pick. We also tried the the dark nut latte and that was also very nice. For a better reference I have included a one pager of the effect of the super add one they put in the drinks as well, come try it and see if it works for you! The only average item on the menu was the almond croissant we tried and that was due it being a bit dry and old so my advice is not to get that but the coffee more than made up for the pastry.
The café is wonderful! I was on vacation with my family in Toronto, and I went there specifically to try the pistachio cream coffee. My mom and I absolutely loved it! I don’t remember the name of the man who was working there, but he was incredibly kind and polite. I really hope that if I ever come back to Toronto, I can visit this café again. ✨🙏🏻
