I went to Maman for an afternoon snack and beverage. The smell of freshly baked goods greets you as you walk into the restaurant. The staff were all kind and most had french accents. I ordered the lavender hot chocolate and the cookie which advertised was Oprah's favorite. The cookie was stellar! Incredibly gooey, chocolatey and indulgent. The hot chocolate I found was not as rich in flavour as I was hoping, however overall, I would return.

This is the cutest food stall in the First Canadian Place. Enjoyed my vanilla latte made with oat milk. ☕ My avocado tartine was artfully presented and delicious. 🥑 Service was swift and friendly.

I visited this place in Montreal during COVID, and it was amazing back then — the breakfasts, the coffee, the baked goods, everything was perfect. So I decided to try their Toronto location, and I think it’s popular mostly because it’s in an office area. Everyone comes for their morning coffee, so the line was pretty long (I arrived right when offices were opening). I ordered the pumpkin spice matcha, and there was no pumpkin flavor at all, and barely any matcha. A proper cup should have about 4g of matcha, and this tasted like maybe 2g — very weak. The croissants were also flavorless, not crispy, not buttery — just bland. I did enjoy the lavender loaf — the flavor was lovely and the glaze was delicious. But overall, I think everything here is overpriced for what you get. The baked goods simply don’t justify the cost; the taste feels like something that should be priced much lower.

Nice vibe and outdoor atmosphere. Very nice and friendly staff. Food below average. Latte had too much milk vs amount of coffee. Canele bottom was kind of burned. Almond croissant was only crispy at both ends and rest very doughy. Didn’t meet expectations for food.

If you like sweet coffee drinks do yourself a favor and try their salted tahini honeycomb latte. One of my top 3 coffee drinks I have ever tried. Such an interesting and well working combinations. Maman if you read this please expand to Seattle or Hamburg, Germany. Thank you!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
