NEO COFFEE BAR KING X SPADINA

Such a cozy spot, especially in the evening! One of my favourite cafes in Toronto and I always find myself coming back. The staff are super friendly, the vanilla latte was great, and the matcha tastes really high quality 🍵 They also have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings!

A great place to relax and soak up some ‘urban city life’. NEO serves a large varieties of coffee and matcha drinks. Hot and cold. Really good foam and good coffee. The interior is very modern and bright, with lots of wood and dark stone, complemented by concrete elements. The overall atmosphere feels airy and full of light, with great indirect lighting. Service is extremely fast and very friendly. What I especially liked: many small details, lots of single- tables, combined with large community tables in the center.

Fantastic espresso here. I purchased 2 Cortado’s with 2% organic milk. They were delicious. I got one that was big ass and one regular. Both were amazing. The decaf was not quite as strong flavor as the regular, which is pretty typical, but it was still delicious and smooth. The presentation was perfect. The barista complained he didn’t do a very nice heart, but I was being complicated on how much milk I wanted in my Cortado. I wanted less than typical & I told him midstream. Cashier and barista were very personable and friendly. They were welcome to my wanting altered a little bit and not being a typical Cortado. wonderful and jazz music in the background. They have a lot of individual seats, which is nice along with giant tables for groups.

Recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try, but I left pretty underwhelmed. The space is large, but it doesn’t feel cozy. What really put me off was the staff. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and the overall vibe just felt off and unwelcoming. My cappuccino was below average and not something I’d come back for. The croissant was also not very tasty. The tables are also quite small and not very comfortable to sit at for long. Overall, this won’t be my first choice for a morning coffee.

Neo coffee is great! I love the vibe, they have good coffee & matcha as well as alcoholic drinks! good spot to study/get work done & also good spot to chat. No laptops after 5 on weekdays. They have some decent GF options for baked goods as well.
