Queen West's favourite Italian-leaning cafe. The pastries are the real draw but the coffee holds its own. Expect a line on weekends.

I’ve visited this café several times, and it has become one of my go-to spots in the area. The interior is bright, cozy, and beautifully designed. The café is usually busy, but you can still find seating most of the time, which is a nice advantage compared to other places nearby. I also really appreciate that they stay open later than most coffee shops in the neighbourhood. They offer a variety of pastries, baked goods, and light meals. I usually come for coffee and snacks. On my last visit, we ordered a macchiato, which my partner felt could have been prepared with a bit more care, but I tried their strawberry & kiwi tea and really enjoyed it, refreshing, not too sweet, and full of flavour. We also shared an almond croissant that was warmed up perfectly, crunchy on the outside and sweet enough to enjoy without being overwhelming. The service has consistently been friendly and helpful, and the café is generally clean and well-maintained. The washrooms are tidy too, which is always a plus. Despite the macchiato not being the best this time, everything else continues to impress me, so I’m still giving them 5 stars for the overall experience.
The service was excellent, and all staff members were very friendly and attentive. The desserts are also highly recommendable. One point I would like to mention is that during my visit, the coffee tasted quite mild, and I noticed coffee grounds settled at the bottom of the cup. I hope it was coffee grounds. While it is understandable that fine grounds can occasionally appear, the particles I observed were relatively large, which may indicate that the espresso machine requires more thorough cleaning or that grounds were introduced during preparation. This is a minor issue and something that can be improved moving forward.
This is a solid café to stop by if you need a quick brunch or coffee. Their strawberry matcha latte and Nutella lattes are great! I’ve also had this smoked salmon, croissant, which comes with the side of salad. It’s on the pricer end for a café, but the food has been great every time. The seating area is always quite packed, and if you come during lunchtime, you’re probably not gonna find a table during the summer. They have outdoor seating, which is nice, and they have large windows. You can order and servers will deliver directly to your table, or you can pick up. I really do think they need to add more seating, but if you’re only here to quickly grab a drink, you won’t have an issue with that. The ambiance isn’t very relaxing, it’s definitely more of a hustle and bustle vibe. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a laptop here to study, most people who are here are here with friends to catch up or chat.
I recently visited Nonni on King Street, and it was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. The café itself has a warm and inviting vibe—bright, modern, and stylish without being over the top. It’s the kind of spot where you can easily sit back, enjoy good food and coffee, and lose track of time. We ordered a cortado and an iced latte to start, and both drinks were excellent. The cortado had just the right balance of bold espresso and creamy milk, smooth and satisfying without being too strong. The iced latte was refreshing, not overly sweet, and perfect for a mid-day pick-me-up. You can really tell they care about the quality of their coffee here, which makes a big difference. To go with our drinks, we tried a spinach croissant and a cheese croissant topped with za’atar. Both were standouts. The spinach croissant was flaky on the outside with a rich, flavorful filling inside—hearty enough to feel like a small meal but still light. The cheese croissant with za’atar was something truly special. The combination of buttery pastry, melted cheese, and the earthy, fragrant za’atar seasoning was unique and delicious. It’s not something you come across at every café, and it really made the experience memorable. Service was quick and friendly, and while the café does get busy, the staff handle it well and the atmosphere stays relaxed. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but given the quality and creativity, it feels worth it. Overall, Nonni is a gem on King Street—great coffee, tasty food, and a cozy spot worth revisiting.
This cafe is popular and for obvious reasons, the service is incredible. The waitresses were super kind, efficient, and friendly. Even though this cafe is very busy and there's a lot of people, the customer service was excellent. They have sandwich options, and I ordered the tuna sandwich and a cappuccino. I enjoyed it a lot, and I'm definitely going back.
